Why not. Bored and drinking.
Sleepy Vampire - The Supersuckers Pressed Against The Sky - The Toadies (One of my favorites) Dyers Eve - Metallica Cut Me Out - The Toadies (One of my least favorites) Cowboy Song - The Toadies (Love the song, not a fan of this cover) Song For The Man - The Beastie Boys Cut Me Out - The Toadies (From the Live Rock Show cd. The little ditty he "wrote" at the beginning is better than the actual song) Liberated - The Burden Brothers (I'll say it. Mercy > No Deliverance) If I - Dune TX (I saw them open for the BB years ago and liked 'em. I finally bought their Machowagon cd off of Amazon. I dig it.) Who'll Stop the Rain - CCR Nowhere Special - The Supersuckers Wanderlust - Flogging Molly (Funny story about these last two bands. At the Toadies show last week the wife was wearing her Flogging Molly shirt and I was wearing one of my Supersuckers shirts. The beer chick says "They'll be here in September!" to my wife, alluding to her shirt. We acknowledged that we knew this and I told her "And if the fucking retards in Houston had taste, this band would come back" and pointed to my shirt. "The Supersuckers.....Yeah, I've heard of them" Me: "Yup.")
Tangerine - Zeppelin Revolution - The Cult Love Street - The Doors Waterfall - The Toadies I Like It All, Man - The Supersuckers No Mo Happyface - The Toadies (I gotta be honest, I cleared 6,000 songs off of my iTunes and started over without the aide of Limewire. Everything I have is legit except the Toadies session stuff. It's just too good.) My Michelle - GNR Live and Let Die - GNR The Parting Glass - The Pogues Red House - Jimi (So over this song) Shake Your Rump - The Beastie Boys The WASP - The Doors Super Disco Breakin' - The Beastie Boys Let It Go - The BB Serenade - The Steve Miller Band (Had tickets to their concert back in '95. Got in an auto accident on the way to the Coca-Cola Starplex. I have still never seen them live)
Time To Get Ill - The Beastie Boys (Jesus, the other BB is getting fellated by my iTunes tonight) Mothers Little Helper - The Stones Queen of the Highway - The Doors Bruises to Prove It - The Supersuckers Laura - Flogging Molly Get Out Alive - The Lions (I bought both of their albums at the concert due to you fine folks. Great stuff) Wait Until tomorrow - Jimi Your Day - The Toadies (One of their best unreleased, IMO) Work, Work, Work (Pub, Club, Sleep) - The Rakes (Thanks Tami. Due to your comment that they are great along with UCA's Editors, I got their Capture/Release cd. The best cd I've bought since Mercy. It might even eclipse Mercy, btw.)
Ehhhhh, enjoy Thomas, this might just be between you and I. And I would have bought the new Baboon due to your recommendation, but I can't seem to find it. Anywhere. A hint would be helpfull.
extra tickets at face value « Result #7 on Aug 11, 2008, 12:24pm »
I have a few extra tickets for the Palladium show on 8/22, if anyone is interested, slap me an email - tutjer@gmail.com - $35 each after all the ticketbastard fees.
Also, while I'm at it - I don't think I can make it to the Dia de los Toadies festivities at PK Lake if you want my tix to that - I have 2, think they were $30 each.
Lastly - Clicks in Tyler on 8/21 - 2 tix, $25 each. I'm still trying to finagle out of work to road trip it for this one, but if want them instead, they are yours.
I got ticket happy without checking my sked (or other people's skeds, too, for that matter.)
All tickets are at face value after fees/surcharges/etc - just trying to recoup my costs - not looking to 'scalp.'
